Libre Technology Consulting is owned and operated by Ryan McGuire out of Columbia City, Indiana. The chief goals of effective consulting the way I see them are to:
- Avoid Churn -- having the smarts to identify a problem or solution accurately, quickly, and without the need for multiple iterations.
- Stay Current -- dated, tired old solutions fail to add value. Staying current means delivering the right solution for today, not yesterday.
- Deliver Real Solutions -- real solutions don't come with a contract! Real solutions don't force you to stay with a consultant or a vendor, they lack restrictive licensing, and they never lock you in. Real solutions are scalable, flexible, and capable of extending off the shelf functionality.
What I Will Never Do
- Waste your time -- Time is money, I'm here to deliver solutions that help you save it, that enable you to focus on your core business
- Bully you into a solution -- The best solution is the one that fits you. After all, you get to keep it! I will never push you into a direction merely because it's a quick fix, or it's all I know. I add value by being diverse, well rounded, and agile -- not by deploying cookie cutter, one-size-fits-all answers to complex problems.
- Tie your hands -- I offer direction and implement functionality that suits your desired level of engagement and customization. If simple and easy to hand-off is the goal, I will happily implement a COTS solution. If ultimate power and flexibility is the goal I will deploy powerful, open-source solutions to ensure "it can't be done" is never your response.
